Buknoy Glamurrr, Marvin Fojas, Christian Antolin and other online personalities are among thousands of aspiring housemates wanting to be part of the latest edition of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB).
The official Facebook account of ABS-CBN reality show announced that as of 3 p.m. on Friday, October 23, the online auditions have already drawn 56,790 submissions — just a few days after screenings for the newest batch of housemates started last October 19.
PBB aspirants from 16 to 35 years of age can send their creative one-minute introduction videos through the Kumu app and share them via their social media accounts with the hashtag #PBBKumuAudition.
Here are some popular social media influencers who took part and tried their luck at the ongoing auditions for the Pinoy Big Brother: Connect.
In his audition clip, vlogger Buknoy talked about his eagerness to become a housemate, sharing that he has always dreamt of becoming a celebrity.
Buknoy, who previously auditioned for the reality show, believes he is “deserving” to be called housemate, promising to bring laughter and reveal his true self.
“Sana ngayon matupad na yung pangarap ko na maging housemate niyo. Naniniwala ako na dito magpapakatotoo ako, dito makikilala nila ako ng buo, at higit sa lahat mas makikilala na nila ‘yung totoong Buknoy,” said Buknoy in the video.
Meanwhile, content creator Marvin Fojas, who is known for his famous “Luh” and “Bhie” expressions, jokingly dared “Kuya” to take a chance on him.
“Big brother, ano yung nababalitaan ko na nagpapa-audition ka na naman daw? Luh dati nga nag-audition ako, di mo ako tinanggap eh. Oh, bibigyan kita ng chance para kunin ako na hosuemate mo. Last chance mo na ‘to,” said Marvin on his video.
Social media influencer Christian Antolin, who introduced himself as “Baklang Ambisyosa ng Quezon City”, humorously laid out several reasons why he badly wants to be cast as a housemate.
“Gusto ko po talagang pumasok sa bahay niyo kasi gusto ko po kasi ma-experience ‘yung weekly task, yung para ma-motivate ka para makuha yung weekly budget. Dito kasi sa bahay wala kaming budget, kaya hidni ako namo-motivate gumawa ng mga gawaing bahay. May budget lang kapag may bisita,” said Christian.
Another PBB hopeful is Shanong Bandoc, known to the online community as Shanong TV. The 20-year-old wants to serve as an inspiration and share his knowledge to young people who dream of becoming social media influencers.
“Gusto ko po sanang pumasok sa bahay ni Kuya parang maging isang inspirasyon ng mga bata para sa kanilang gustong gawin sa pagiging social media influencer, pagiging vlogger, pagiging dancer. Bale gusto ko po sana maging kuya ng mga bata na gustong matutong sumayaw at wag mahiya sa camera pagba-vlog at pag-aacting.”
Meanwhile, Singer and TikTok star Zendee Rose Tenerefe playfully asked a favor from Kuya to let her pass the audition with Marvin Fojas. Fans and followers have been “pairing up” the two following their cute interactions and duets on TikTok.
Zendee said, “Napanood ko kasi yung audition ni Bhie. Pag ipasok niyo po si Marvin, ipasok niyo na rin po ako Big Brother. Kung hindi niyo kasi naitatanong, pangarap ko talagang makasama siya sa isang bahay. Feeling ko talaga matutulungan mo ako diyan, Big Brother.”
