Buknoy apologizes anew for comment on tricycle drivers after confrontation with fellow vlogger Makagago

YouTuber Buknoy Glamurrr has apologized again for his viral remark allegedly belittling tricycle drivers after a confrontation with a fellow vlogger, the self-proclaimed “Diss King” Makagago.

The 14-year-old content creator, who has over 180,000 YouTube subscribers, was slammed by netizens over the weekend for saying in a vlog that if one doesn’t work hard enough in life, he might end up being a tricycle driver.

Buknoy came face to face with Makagago after the former eyed on filing a case against the latter for the foul words he said against him in a diss video. The “mediation” initiated by Makagago’s management Star Image took place after it was learned that Buknoy is still a minor and has become a “victim of cyberbullying” following his controversial vlog.

Kasi na-offend mo yung tunay na nagha-hanapbuhay, yung tricycle driver,” Makagago told Buknoy in a video uploaded on July 6 to the former’s YouTube channel.

He added, “Yung excessive na pinagsasabi ko may dagdag na lait, because that’s what you’ve done to the tricycle driver.

Buknoy then countered that he did not degrade anyone in his video, saying that his statement was misinterpreted.

Buknoy revealed that the real reason why he wanted to file a case against Makagago was because he was already greatly affected by the controversy and that Makagago’s diss video seemed to push the public to castigate him even more.

Magago defended his diss video, saying he wanted to make Buknoy understand that what he did wrong.

“Ang essence ng video ko is for you to understand what life is kasi sa totoo lang minaliit mo yung trabaho ng tricycle driver. Ayun lang ‘yun.”

Makagago also lectured Buknoy about admitting one’s fault: “Dapat i-admit niya rin ang mga pagkakamali niya kasi ‘til now, wala siyang ina-admit, parang pinagtatanggol niya lagi yung sarili niya.”

He added, “Wag mong i-defend lagi yung sarili mo lalo na kapag may mali ka, dapat i-admit mo ‘yun straight away. Kasi huling-huli na eh, kitang-kita na eh tinatanggi mo pa.”

Buknoy owned up to his mistake and later on issued another apology video on his YouTube channel.

The young vlogger earlier said sorry following his viral statement.

Higit sa lahat bago ko makalimutan, maraming maraming salamat sa lahat tricycle driver,” the young vlogger said in a three-minute vlog on Tuesday.

He also thanked Makagago for making him realize his mistake.

He also left a message to fellow young people, telling them not to repeat his mistake.
