‘Please stop spreading fake news’: Kim Chiu denies dancing Bawal Lumabas amid EDSA traffic

-

Kim Chiu belied allegations that she danced to Bawal Lumabas in the middle of a traffic jam in EDSA.

A video of the Kapamilya actress grooving to the beat of her controversial “classroom” song beside her car recently made rounds online.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday morning, Kim strongly denied the claims and begged the public to “stop spreading fake news”.

“Sa nagpapakalat ng fake news na sa edsa ako sumayaw, hello?!!! Okay ka lang??? Bakit ako sasayaw sa gitna ng edsa. Takot ko lang.? DYOS KO,” she wrote.

She added, “Please stop spreading FAKE NEWS.”

The Bawal Lumabas singer also cleared that the location was somewhere and not EDSA.

“Please lang. Moms @iamangelicap sa EDSA daw yung parking lot ng Tipsy Pig?… kaya pa ba? Ikaw na nagdeliver ng merchandise, ikaw pa pagbibintangan ng fake news… hay…. life…… hindi po biro magbenta ng merch, first time kong ginawa to pero okay lang I know this is for a good cause,” she said.

Kim also pleaded,” Let’s spread love not hate. COVID AND KALABAN NATIN, HINDI ANG KAPWA TAO.?? Please lang stop spreading #fakenews.”

In an ABS-CBN report, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesperson Celine Pialago said they will look into the video and will summon the actress if needed to explain her side on the issue.

“We will verify if this video of the actress really happened in EDSA. If it did, we will summon/invite her to explain her side and from there we will act accordingly,” she said.

“Marami po tayong problema na kailangan pong unahin at pagtuunan ng pansin kaya po sa ngayon ito po muna ang reaksyon ng aming opisina sa issue,” she added.
