Christopher De Leon wrote a message of support for his Love Thy Woman co-star Kim Chiu, who has recently been the talk of the town following her sentiments over the closure of ABS-CBN’s broadcast operations.
Kim Chiu earlier received backlash over her viral “classroom” quote during a Facebook live protest with fellow Kapamilya celebrities last Friday.
“Sa classroom may batas, bawal lumabas, oh bawal lumabas. Pero ‘pag sinabi, ‘pag nag-comply ka na bawal na lumabas pero may ginawa ka sa pinagbabawal nila, inayos mo ‘yong law ng classroom niyo at sinumbit mo ulit ay pwede na pala ikaw lumabas,” she said, causing confusion among netizens.
Kim later apologized for the statement, saying she just got carried away with her emotions and jokingly added that she, too, didn’t get what she was trying to convey.
In an Instagram post on Monday, De Leon shared why he admires the actress.
“Kim is like a ray of sunshine sa tuwing dumarating sa set. Always smiling. Ngiting abot-tengan — kitang-kita sa mga mata. Napakagaan kasama. She’s somebody who’s always eager to learn. She never CLAIMED to be outstanding on anything,” he said
“Ang laging niyang pinaghuhugutan ay ang personal experiences niya… lagi siyang nagsi-share ng part of herself (with) each one of us. Very warm, very personal and for that I Love KIM❤️ @ @chinitaprincess,” added De Leon.
