Gabbi Garcia is the first Filipina to be named Taiwan Tourism Ambassador.
The Kapuso actress made the big reveal via her Instagram account on Friday.
“So happy to announce that I’m the First Filipina Taiwan Tourism Ambassador! ♥️✨ Shooting this didn’t feel like work at all!” she said.
Along the post were photos of her trip around Taipei, Taiwan.
The Kapuso actress was at the SMX Convention earlier to grace the Travel Tour Expo 2020 where she was formally introduced as the 2020 Taiwan Tourism Ambassador.
Gabbi feels happy and honored to be chosen as endorser of Taiwan tourism in the country, saying that “it’s another milestone for my career”.
“I feel like it’s more of a responsibility also to promote good tourism, to promote all the positive things about Taiwan,” she added.
Reach out to people, immerse more, explore the city and learn their culture were among the 21-year-old tourism ambassador’s tips to enjoy Taiwan to the fullest.
Last January, Gabbi flew to Taiwan for a “special project” that she mentioned to watch out for.
Among the landmarks she visited were Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and the Taipei 101 building.
