Breaking away from tradition, a couple from Olongapo City had a jolly and memorable wedding as they tied the knot at the famous fast-food chain Jollibee.
Newlyweds Janine Minas and Marious Pabalinas not only held their reception but also their wedding ceremony in their favorite fast-food restaurant last February 2, 2020.
Janine shared the photos of their unique special day on Facebook and her post has since gone viral.
The couple said that they opted for a simple celebration and decided not to spend much for the ceremony but they wanted to prioritize the quality of food they would serve to their guests since they are both fond of eating.
Janine also revealed that their guests were a bit shocked and confused when they first learned of the unusual venue.
“No one believed us when we said we will do our wedding at Jollibee. Kasi alam nila ‘di kami matinong kausap kala nila nagjo-joke lang kami until we sent our invitations out and they saw the venue,” she said.
“At wala na po silang nagawa. Haha. Nagulat na lang po sila nung nakita nila invitation na sa Jollibee gagawin both ceremony and reception,” she added.
Janine shared that despite breaking away from the norms, it was still a fun-filled celebration for her family and guests — “nothing fancy, just love”.
“Pero during and after the wedding masaya po lahat lalo na po yung mga lolo’t lola at magulang namin. Kasi it’s really different sa tradition na nakagisnan nila. Lahat nakatawa po. No negative vibes po nung araw na yun,” she said.
She added: “At wala po akong narinig o naririnig na bad feedbacks at negative comments. Lahat po sinasabi masaya daw po nung kasal. So super fun lang po talaga nung araw na yon.”
