Kapuso actress and style icon Heart Evangelista has expressed her thanks to the driver and netizens who helped find her missing dog Casper.
“Look at Casper’s smile! ☺ Thank you so much to Kuya Victor for finding and returning our baby. ❤ Thank you also to everyone who helped out in looking for him — going around in New Manila to look and spreading the word online. It really goes to show how powerful social media is when used for a good cause,” said Heart in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
The actress said she owed it all to everyone’s efforts in looking for her furry companion.
“Again, thank you, all! It wouldn’t have been possible without everyone working together,” she added.
On Monday afternoon, Heart asked for help on Twitter after her dog went missing. “My dog Casper is missing along New Manila. Please help us find him. He will not make it without us. We need him and he needs us. Please help,” she tweeted.
Her post quickly gained reactions from her followers. Some of her fans, who were near the area, offered to search for Casper and gave Heart updates on the situation.
After almost four hours, Heart updated her Twitter with the good news that Casper was already found.
“You guys!!! Thank you so much for. Helping! Social media is the best! Hahaha I am so touched for everything!!! We found Casper!!! He is now in the car on his way home,” she said.
Heart, who was attending an event when it happened, appeared to have shed tears when Casper got lost. “Excuse my swollen eyes from crying,” she shared in an Instagram story.
Heart also showed how delighted she was to be reunited with Casper via a series of Instagram stories.
The actress is known to be an animal lover, advocate and celebrity endorser of Philippine Animal Welfares Society (PAWS).
