Dennis Trillo and Nikka Garcia have shared their thoughts following Patrick Garcia’s recent revelations regarding his past relationship with Jennylyn Mercado.
Addressing Patrick’s decision to break his 18-year silence about his 2008 breakup with Jennylyn in an interview on Ogie Diaz’s Youtube channel, Dennis took to social media to share his thoughts on the timing of the statement.
“Hindi ako pabor sa bashing, pero salamat at naalala mo si Jazz dahil sa pag-bash sa anak mo. Spread love, not hate,” Dennis posted on his Instagram and Facebook Stories.
Dennis’ reaction follows Patrick’s tell-all interview, where the actor denied long-standing claims that he had abandoned Jennylyn during her pregnancy with their son, Alex Jazz.
“No, that’s not true! Hindi ko iniwanan si Jen,” Patrick stated, clarifying that his absence during her pregnancy was because Jennylyn did not want him involved at the time.
Patrick explained that he finally chose to speak out after his 13-year-old daughter, Michelle, his eldest child with wife Nikka Garcia, faced persistent online bashing over his past. According to Patrick, Michelle encouraged him to tell his side:
“Daddy, why don’t you tell your story? What really happened between you and your past?” Michelle asked him, adding, “Daddy, it’s okay, as long as they know the truth.”
Nikka has since aired support for her husband via an Instgaram story saying, “I won in this life. I fell in love with a good man and I’ll never stop being grateful for that,” saad niya sa kanyang Instagram story.

Meanwhile, Jennylyn Mercado has chosen to take the high road, declining to comment or give interviews regarding her ex-partner’s claims.
