Ai-Ai delas Alas said she feels no bitterness over the news of her ex-husband, Gerald Sibayan, remarrying his non-showbiz partner in the United States.
The news was first reported by Ogie Diaz on his “Showbiz Updates” program on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
According to Diaz, his source confirmed that Sibayan had married a non-showbiz woman named Nadine in a civil wedding at the San Francisco City Hall.
“Wala kaming masyadong detalye dito.
On Thursday, Sept. 10, the comedienne spoke to PEP.ph about her ex-husband’s remarriage, saying she had already expected it following their separation.
“Kailangan niyang mag-stay sa Amerika, kaya kailangan niyang magpakasal,” she spoke about her former beau’s current living situation abroad.
Ai-Ai also revealed that they have not communicated directly since their separation on Oct. 14, 2024. They reportedly remain in contact through a “middleman,” particularly regarding the annulment proceedings for their marriage.
“I wish him well, basta bayaran na lang niya yung annulment ng kasal namin.
Despite the news, Delas Alas assured her supporters that she is doing well and has long since “moved forward”.
Matagal na po akong moving forward,” she said.
Delas Alas and Sibayan’s relationship ended after 10 years of marriage, with their split becoming the subject of controversy amid allegations of cheating.
They finalized their divorce in March 2026. According to previous reports, Sibayan wanted to have children and was reportedly no longer happy in their relationship.
