It was a win for the home court as the Star Magic Shooting Stars defeated Thailand’s GMMTV All Stars at the 2026 Star Magic All-Star Games.
The highly anticipated international basketball showdown was held on Sunday, Aug. 23, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, bringing together Filipino and Thai fans to cheer for their favorite celebrities on the local court.
The event opened with the Juniors Basketball division, where Team Shooting Stars Blue defeated Team Shooting Stars Red, 55-35, to claim the championship, while the latter settled for first runner-up.
Both teams drew energetic cheers from their respective muses, with former PBB Collab 2.0 housemate Eliza Borromeo cheering for the Blue team and actress Francine Diaz supporting the Red team.
Over on the volleyball court, reigning champions Star Magic Lady Spikers successfully defended their title from the Star Magic Lady Warriors.
The main basketball showdown ended with another victory for the home team, as the Star Magic Shooting Stars dominated GMMTV All Stars with a score of 68-43.
Several celebrity athletes also took home individual honors throughout the games.
Diego Gutierrez was named Most Valuable Player after helping lead Team Shooting Stars Blue to victory with an impressive 30 points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals.
Meanwhile, Fred Moser of Team Shooting Stars Red was recognized as Rookie of the Year.
Gutierrez and Moser were also named to the basketball “Mythical 5,” alongside Rocky Labayen, Jan Silva, and Robbie Jaworski.
Former PBB Collab 2.0 housemate Lella Ford also emerged as one of the biggest standouts on the volleyball court, taking home both the Most Valuable Player and Best Spiker awards.
Gillian Vicencio was named Best Receiver, while Bella Sapienza earned the Best Setter award.
The volleyball “Mythical 6” featured Vicencio alongside her Lady Warriors teammates Reign Parani and Leona Andalio, as well as Lady Spikers Lella Ford, her sister Magui Ford, and five-time Star Magic All-Star Games MVP Analain Salvador.
Meanwhile, Gerald Anderson, who led the Star Magic Shooting Stars in the main basketball game, was named its Most Valuable Player.
