For many Filipinos, a trip to Cebu or Bohol sounds like the perfect escape, but finding the time to actually plan one can be another story.
Jpark Island Resorts is making that getaway a little easier with its new “Resort Days Matter” campaign, a three-month Manila roadshow designed to bring its resort experiences closer to travelers in Luzon.
The campaign, which runs from August 7 to October 31, 2026, is promoting bookings for both Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark in Mactan, Cebu, and Alona by Jpark Island Resort in Panglao, Bohol.
Travelers can visit Jpark booths at SM Mall of Asia, SM Aura, Ayala Glorietta, and Ayala Trinoma to explore the offers and start planning their next vacation.
The initiative is also in support with the recent campaign of the Department of Tourism’s “Discover More to Love” campaign, which encourages Filipinos to explore the country’s destinations.
For Jpark General Manager and Vice President for Operations Anders Hallden, the roadshow is about encouraging more Filipinos to rediscover local travel.
“We want to promote the Philippines as a destination for locals and international tourists,” Hallden said during the media launch on August 5 at Siklab+ in S Maison, Conrad Manila.

TWO DESTINATIONS, ONE GETAWAY INVITATION
With properties in Mactan, Cebu, and Panglao, Bohol, Jpark is giving Manila-based travelers two destinations to consider for their next break.
Hallden described Cebu as a particularly good starting point for discovering more of the Visayas, with attractions such as Oslob, Kawasan Falls, and Bantayan within reach. Bohol offers another option for travelers looking to make the most of an island getaway.
The Manila activation gives travelers the opportunity to book their Jpark getaway while taking advantage of promotional offers available during the campaign period.
And if the question is what a Jpark vacation looks like, the Mactan property offers plenty of clues.
Located along the white-sand coastline of Mactan Island in Lapu-Lapu City, Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark covers 16.3 hectares and features 820 rooms, suites and villas, 7 pools, and three giant water slides, along with restaurants, bars, function venues, a spa, kids’ activities, and other recreational facilities.
For families, there are toddler-friendly pools, the Amazon River, Captain Hook’s pool, and other waterpark attractions. There is also J English Camp for kids, Pororo-themed attractions, mini golf, giant chess, basketball, and other activities.
Guests can also choose from a variety of dining options, including Chinese, Korean, and international cuisines.

MORE THAN A FAMILY RESORT
Jpark has long been associated with Korean tourism and Korean-inspired offerings, but Hallden said the resort is increasingly welcoming Filipino guests and families.
“It has been very known for Korean tourists, but this is changing day by day. We are seeing more and more Filipinos,” he said.
The resort’s team is predominantly Filipino, with Hallden himself bringing an international perspective to the property. The Swedish executive has been based in Cebu for years and is married to a Filipina from Leyte.
For him, the resort welcomes everyone.
“Everybody is welcome. We are one big happy family in Jpark,” he said.
This invitation also extends to solo travelers. Hallden said solo guests can enjoy having everything they need within the resort, from dining and recreation, with reliable security.
Jpark has implemented wristbands that also function as room keys and help identify guests based on their access, whether they are staying at the resort, visiting for the day, dining, or attending an event.
SUSTAINABILITY BEYOND THE BUZZ
A post-program chat between Hallden and this writer touched on another consideration increasingly important to travelers: sustainability.
Jpark maintains its own coral reef and organizes cleanup activities for it. The resort is also working on a garbage disposal station where waste will be properly sorted according to health regulations.
For Hallden, these efforts are not simply about branding: “I’m doing it because I care about the Philippines.”
WHAT’S IN STORE FOR TRAVELERS?
The “Resort Days Matter” campaign comes with promotional offers designed to make that long-awaited getaway easier to book.
Travelers can get up to 54% off regular room rates, with packages starting at only P10,400.
Depending on the offer availed, guests can also get inclusions such as buffet meals and airport transfers.
Another feature that could appeal to travelers who like to plan ahead: promotional vouchers have a 20-month validity period, with stays available until March 2028.
There are also “Deals for Two,” buffet and Pororo access bundles, and waterpark day-use promotions (more information available at the activation).
For those who would rather spread out the cost, Jpark is offering 0% interest, three-month payment terms and buy-now-pay-later options for select BDO, BPI, and Metrobank cardholders.
The offers are available at the Jpark booths in the four participating Manila malls throughout the three-month activation.
SOMETIMES, YOU REALLY NEED A BREAK
For Hallden, the value of a resort getaway goes beyond the amenities.
In his welcome remarks, he described time away from daily routines as an opportunity to reconnect with the people who matter, and with oneself.
“A few days by the beach, shared laughter by the waterpark, quiet mornings, overlooking the sea, or simply enjoying quality time together can renew our energy and spirits,” he said.
Whether travelers choose Mactan, Cebu, or Panglao, Bohol, Jpark’s latest campaign is ultimately an invitation to make room for that much-needed pause.
And with the resort bringing its booking offers to four major Manila malls, this island escape may be easier to plan than it seems.
Sometimes, all you need is a reason to finally say yes to a few days away.
For Jpark, that reason is simple: Resort Days Matter.
