Actor-vlogger Erwan Heussaff is earning praise online, with many netizens calling him the ultimate “green flag” husband for his views on marriage, trust, and supporting his wife, Anne Curtis.
The online buzz comes shortly after Erwan made headlines for his thought-provoking post about friendships and political differences, with social media users once again applauding his mindset, this time regarding Anne’s acting career and their relationship.
Erwan recently sat down for a one-on-one interview with actor Matteo Guidicelli on “Matteo G. Primetime” on Bilyonaryo News Channel, where the two husbands shared a candid conversation about marriage and family life.
During the interview, Matteo asked Erwan how he feels about Anne being paired with different leading men in movies and TV projects.
“Totally fine. No jealousy. [When] I met Anne, she was already doing these movies,” Erwan said.
When asked where he gets his sense of confidence from, the food content creator explained that acting has always been part of Anne’s profession.
“She was already doing it when we weren’t even dating yet. So, who am I to kind of tell her what to do or change who she is or anything like that, right?” Erwan said.
“It’s like her asking me to stop cooking, right? I know it’s very different, but if you look at it as part of a job, it is a job, right? And that’s fine,” he added.
The interview also touched on their life as parents to their daughter, Dahlia. According to Erwan, becoming a mother revealed another side of Anne that he had not fully seen before.
“Anne and I are very independent people. And I always knew she was very emotional, but when it comes to Dahlia, it kind of unlocks this crazy mom thing where she’s so careful with Dahlia,” he shared.
Matteo later asked who the “boss” is at home, to which Erwan quickly replied, “Anne’s the boss. I just go along with it.”
“Yeah. Sarah’s the boss, too. But we pretend we’re the boss,” Matteo responded, referring to his wife, pop star Sarah Geronimo.
Asked about the secret to a strong and lasting marriage, Erwan underscored the importance of respect and acceptance.
“I think for us it’s really respect. It’s not trying to change who we are, who we were,” he explained.
“Obviously as people you always want to challenge each other and kind of grow together and evolve. It doesn’t mean that someone can’t change. But if you decided to marry a person, you’re marrying that person in that moment and whatever comes with that person, right?” he added.
When Matteo asked how he knew Anne was “the one,” Erwan said it all came down to finding someone supportive.
“I think it circles back to knowing that it was someone that would be supportive in anything that you do and not prevent you from blossoming,” he said.
Clips from the interview quickly circulated across social media platforms, where many netizens praised Erwan for his maturity and confidence.
“Erwan Heussaff, the man that you are,” one X user wrote in a viral post that has since garnered over 50,000 likes.
“‘Yan ang lalaking secured at confident sa sarili,” another netizen commented.
“To have a man who is so secure of himself, trusts you, and has his own personality. Tapos gwapo pa? Prayer reveal naman, Anne,” another user reacted.
