The former driver of actress Rhian Ramos has filed complaints against the actress, Michelle Dee, and Samantha Panlilio over an alleged incident at a Makati condominium in January.
According to a Philippine STAR report, the driver, identified only as “Totoy,” accused the three of slight illegal detention, unlawful arrest, and physical injuries.
He claimed he was allegedly confined inside a condominium unit from January 17 to 19 after being suspected of stealing an angpao containing sensitive photos.
He also alleged that he was harmed while in police custody after Dee filed a qualified theft complaint against him.
The Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), which assisted Totoy, said the National Bureau of Investigation found a strong basis for the complaint. Totoy was later released after prosecutors dismissed the initial theft case against him.
Meanwhile, Dee’s camp dismissed the new complaint as retaliatory, noting that prosecutors had earlier indicted Totoy for theft, although the charge was downgraded from qualified theft due to insufficient evidence of grave abuse of confidence.
