Jayda Avanzado became emotional after Katy Perry noticed and praised her cover of the international pop star’s song, “Thinking of You.”
“When I’m listening to my version I am listening to your version of Think of You,” Katy commented on Jayda’s video which has already gained over 10 million views across platforms.
This left Jayda overwhelmed with excitement: “As a KatyCat since 2010, this means so much to me more than you know,” adding that Katy has been one of her biggest influences.
In a reaction video, Jayda tearfully thanked the pop star, saying, “Katy you don’t know how much this means to me… I really appreciate you acknowledging my cover.”
Katy also showed support on Instagram, commenting, “And thank YOU for covering it. Ily.”
Known for hits like Firework and Roar, Katy’s recognition meant a lot to Jayda, the daughter of OPM stars Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado.
She has released her own music including “Right Lover, Wrong Time,” “Paano Kung Naging Tayo?,” and “Bida”.
