Blazing lights, roaring fans, and a surprise that sent the P-pop community into a frenzy marked the bold introduction of a new force in the P-pop industry.
With an explosive entrance marked by sharp choreography and “angas” filled introductions, 1Z Entertainment surprised the crowd with a production from their first girl group, Xonara, during SB19’s “Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale,” held at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City last April 18.
Xonara is composed of seven members—Eurekah, Ella, Dominique, Tin, Megumi, Lei, and Namie. The girls did not ease into their production but instead commanded the stage with confidence, delivering a fierce and powerful performance.
“As a new group, we’re here to introduce a new sound and flavor in P-pop,” member Lei said.
Their surprise number, featuring an original track titled “Tabi,” immediately set them apart as the group performed what they said was their own song, which they wrote and composed themselves.
“Special sa amin, kasi kami po ang nag-compose at nagsulat nito. Sana nagustuhan niyo po,” Tin shared with the audience, her voice carrying both gratitude and excitement.
“Maraming-maraming salamat po sa mainit na pagtanggap sa amin ngayong gabi. Kung alam n’yo lang po kung gaano kami ka-grateful at ka-blessed na makatuntong sa ganitong stage, kasi dati nandiyan lang kami, nangangarap lang. So maraming salamat po,” Eurekah said.
Even before their official introduction, speculation about a new 1Z Entertainment group had been circulating online. Teasers and subtle hints fueled anticipation among fans, many of whom were eager to see how SB19 would expand its influence beyond its own success.
Reports earlier this month pointed to the possibility of a girl group under the label, sparking curiosity about its concept, sound, and direction. The April 18 reveal confirmed those rumors and exceeded fans’ expectations.
Xonora is under the direct mentorship of the “Kings of P-pop,” SB19, suggesting a hands-on approach that blends experience with fresh talent. This mentorship model reflects a growing trend in P-pop, where established acts actively shape the next wave of performers.
This mentorship is expected to influence not only their musical direction but also their branding and performance style. Early glimpses already suggest a blend of fierce stage presence and narrative-driven artistry—elements that have become hallmarks of SB19’s success.
While the concert appearance served as a soft launch, Xonara is set for its official debut on May 15. Fans will also have the opportunity to learn more about the group through Xonara World at Escolta, a dedicated space where supporters can connect with them and explore their journey.
The debut of its first girl group signals an expansion of 1Z Entertainment’s vision. With Xonara, the company appears to be investing in diversity not just in talent, but in sound, storytelling, and audience reach.
From a surprise stage reveal to an eagerly anticipated official launch, the group’s journey is just beginning.
