Actress Sue Prado has passed away at the age of 44, her family confirmed on Wednesday.
The news of her death was confirmed by her family through social media on Wednesday evening, April 15. In a Facebook post, her sister, May Shereen Prado, announced the actress’s passing. Her cause of death, however, was not disclosed.
“Our dearest Sue M. Prado has become a constant star in the night sky. It is with profound pain that we share Sue’s passing,” she wrote. “Sue brought light in anyone’s path throughout her life. A life lived for others, for the craft she nourished and for those who she loved most. Please celebrate her in any way you know how, and honor her memory through kindness.”
The family said details regarding Prado’s funeral arrangements will be shared in the coming days.
Sue was widely recognized for her work across indie cinema and mainstream television, starring in notable films such as “Barber’s Tales”, “Oro”, “Thelma”, “Ilustrado”, and “Madrasta”. She was most recently seen in the film “Desperada”.
She was also part of the long-running Kapamilya series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”, as well as “Abot Kamay na Pangarap”, “Prinsesa ng City Jail”, and “My Father’s Wife”.
In what would become her final Instagram post, Sue shared a message about love and life as she thanked those who attended the premiere night of her latest project.
“Maikli lang po ang panahon natin sa mundo kaya i-express natin ang pagmamahal natin sa mga mahal natin, kasi hindi natin alam kung hanggang kailan,” she wrote, as quoted by ABS-CBN News.
