Sparkle GMA Artist Center expressed gratitude to Immaculada Concepcion College (ICC) after several of its young talents were granted scholarships that will allow them to continue their education while pursuing careers in the entertainment industry.
Among the first batch of scholars are Angel Cadao (incoming Grade 10), Sabrina Cuervo (incoming Grade 9), Lauren King (incoming college) and Kayla Davies (incoming Grade 9), along with additional recipients Kzhoebe Baker, Aya Domingo, and Meg Montgomery.
Sparkle First Vice President Joy Marcelo underscored the importance of education in shaping the future of their artists, while acknowledging the opportunity provided by ICC.
“At Sparkle, we are committed to nurturing talents beyond their careers in entertainment. Education plays a crucial role in shaping their future, and we are grateful to ICC for opening doors that will allow our artists to continue learning while pursuing their dreams,” she said.
The scholarship program is designed to help artists balance academics with the demands of showbiz through flexible learning arrangements, including modular, hybrid, homeschooling, and in-person classes at ICC’s Caloocan campus.
ICC president Marcelino Agana said the partnership reflects the school’s commitment to accessible education and holistic development.
“At ICC, we believe that quality education should be accessible to everyone. Through this partnership with Sparkle, we hope to support young talents not only in their artistic journeys, but also in becoming well-rounded individuals guided by strong values,” he said.
The initiative highlights a joint effort by Sparkle and ICC to support young artists not just in their careers, but in their long-term growth beyond the entertainment industry.
