Content creator Zeinab Harake is mourning the passing of the tricycle driver featured in her “Would You Cook For Me” vlog, uploaded just a few weeks ago.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, March 28, Zeinab shared photos from the wake of “Jofren.” One image showed her carrying Jofren’s daughter, while another captured her posing with the bereaved family in front of Jofren’s casket.
Alongside the photos, she wrote a heartfelt message to express her condolences and bid farewell to Jofren, grateful to have met him even briefly:
On March 5, Zeinab uploaded the YouTube video challenging strangers on the road to cook for her in exchange for P10,000. Jofren accepted, warmly welcoming her to his home and cooking fried tilapia. In the vlog, he was described as a quiet, kind man and a single father of two.
Tragically, Jofren passed away in an accident just days after the video was uploaded, leaving fans and viewers deeply saddened.
