K-pop powerhouse BTS continues to break barriers as their latest album, “ARIRANG”, achieves record-breaking success on Spotify.
Shortly after its release, ARIRANG became the most-streamed K-pop album on Spotify, while also securing the title of the most-streamed album globally in a single day this year.
The achievement was confirmed by Spotify through its official social media platforms, noting that the said album now holds the record for the biggest single-day streams for any album in 2026 so far.
Even ahead of its release, ARIRANG had already made waves, becoming one of the most pre-saved Countdown Pages in Spotify history with over five million presaves.
The milestone underscores the massive support from BTS’ global fanbase, ARMY, who turned out in full force to celebrate what many are calling the group’s “comeback of the decade.”
BTS has partnered with Spotify to roll out a series of interactive and immersive experiences for fans to enjoy within the platform.
Among them is the “BTS Music Quiz,” an ongoing in-app feature that allows fans to test their knowledge of the group’s discography and compete with fellow listeners.
A global listening party also kicked off on Tuesday, March 24, enabling fans to stream the album together in real time while engaging with their fellow ARMY worldwide.
The celebrations will continue in Seoul with a three-day event titled “Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE Cruise,” scheduled from March 27 to 29. The exclusive experience invites selected Spotify Premium users to explore the world of ARIRANG, beginning at the Spotify Lighthouse in Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul, before culminating in a music-filled cruise along the city’s iconic Han River.
The group recently marked their comeback with a concert in Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, drawing hundred thousands of fans eager to witness their long-awaited return to the stage.
BTS is also set to return to the Philippines for a two-night concert on March 13 and 14, 2027, as part of their world tour, marking their first performance in the country in a decade.
