Newly crowned “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0″ Kapamilya Big Winner LellaFordis is not bothered being called a “nepo baby.”
During her guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Lella candidly addressed netizens who call her a “nepo baby” because she is the daughter of actress-host Karla Estrada and the sister of actor Daniel Padilla.
“Totoo naman po, I mean, where’s the lie? It’s true and wala naman pong masama do’n,” said Lella, noting that the label only becomes problematic if someone relies on connections without putting in effort.
“Magiging masama lang siya if you’re taking advantage of it, if palamunin ka lang, wala kang ginagawa. But ako po, I’m here because I’m here because I’m making a name for myself. Pinaghihirapan ko lahat ng meron ako now.”
While Lella remained unfazed by the criticism, her mom,Karla, recently spoke out against harsh online comments directed at her daughter following her win on the reality show.
The actress-host slammed a social media user who posted a disturbing comment referencing the late son of TV personality Kim Atienza, who died after battling mental health illness. Estrada called out the user as “sira ulo” and warned that she would not let the incident pass, revealing that their cyber libel team had already been alerted.
“Nasasanay kayo na mag-bash lang nang ‘di nyo iniisip naka-tiwangwang mga profile n’yo kasama mga anak, mga magulang at pamilya n’yo,” she wrote.
Lella won the show’s grand Big Night alongside Sparkle artist Caprice Cayetano on Feb. 28, marking a major milestone in the young star’s rising career.
