Megastar Sharon Cuneta teased President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., saying he picked the wrong vice president for the 2022 elections during the “Evening with the Stars” event in Intramuros, Manila, on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
“Sir, I have only one vice president there oh. My date (Sen. Kiko Pangilinan) tonight. Mali your choice, ‘no? Sorry, okay, okay, okay let’s move on,” she said in jest.
“There’s something I do not like about your presidency though. There’s something I do not like about you being Mr. President and Madam being Madam First Lady. I think it’s the fact that I miss years ago just texting to say ‘Bong and Lisa, please send me Ilocos Bagnet,’” she added.
After her banters on stage, Cuneta expressed her well wishes for the President.
“I’m happy to be here, Sir… Basta, Mr. President, you have my support. I will pray for you. I will pray for the country… And we pray for good health, peace of mind from all the fake news, all the disinformation,” she added.
Cuneta is the wife of Senator Kiko Pangilinan, who lost to Sara Duterte in the 2022 vice presidential race.
Cuneta serenaded the guests during the “An Evening With The Stars: A Gala Celebrating The Stars Who Continue to Light Our Way.” She also dedicated a performance of “Bituing Walang Ningning” to First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
Other artists were spotted at the event, including “The Voice” Season 26 winner Sofronio Vasquez III, singer Martin Nievera, Ruffa Gutierrez, Eddie Gutierrez, and Miss Universe 2025 third runner-up Ahtisa Manalo.
