The mothers of Michelle Dee and Rhian Ramos have come forward to defend their daughters, who are facing serious accusations involving the latter’s personal driver.
Dee and Ramos are currently facing complaints from the latter’s personal driver, who alleged that he was illegally detained and repeatedly tortured at the actresses’ condominium unit in Makati after being accused of stealing private and sensitive photographs.
Michelle’s mother, former beauty queen Melanie Marquez, defended her daughter on Facebook, asserting that the driver’s motives were “financial”.
“Money can be the root of all evil. Ang sinungaling ay kapatid ng magnanakaw! It’s exactly the definition of Rhian’s driver! His real intention is to blackmail for money with conspiracy behind this liar!”
“With the number of days past, conspiracy can create a juicy story to create lies against our achievers celebrity. Their main purpose is their greediness, mentality to blackmail our celebrities for money,” Marquez added. “This evil plot is a criminal offense: to stain the image and reputation of our celebrities…must put in jail.”
In her latest post, she also defended Dee with a nod to a past iconic quote: “Please, don’t judge my daughter. She’s not a book.”
Meanwhile, Rhian’s mother, Clara Ramos, also criticized the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) for supporting her daughter’s driver, claiming the accusations were “unverified”.
In an Instagram post, she wrote: “I don’t understand VACC’s support for a lying thief. Nagpa-interview pa left and right, dishing out unverified information. It has helped fuel this social media frenzy, leaving the ones stolen from and betrayed to be victimized even more by depraved imaginations, with stories morphing like cancer.”
She added, “Watching the internet tear my daughter apart for things she didn’t do. She doesn’t deserve this. Sure, through the years, we know bashers will bash, but this? This is brutal, and whoever’s running this show is sick!”
