Onemig Bondoc and Aiko Melendez are rekindling a connection, sparking dating speculations among netizens.
Netizens are buzzing after Onemig shared a sweet photo with Aiko Melendez on Instagram, captioned “Happy together… after 29 yrs.”
In the comments section, Aiko’s daughter, Marthena, reacted with “Aww” and a heart emoji.
The two addressed the rumors during a TikTok Live on January 10, 2026, while in Batangas. Opening the conversation, Aiko asked netizens,“Are we bagay? Talaga ba? Should I give him a chance?”
When asked if they were already together, she answered, “Hindi,” while Onemig added, “I wish. Pero hindi niya pa ’ko sinasagot, e.”
After Aiko joked that Onemig’s feelings might be artificial, the actor replied, “Uy, hindi ah. Totoo yung feelings ko sa ’yo,” sharing that he has waited 29 years for her.
Both also denied that their closeness is for showbiz, with Aiko saying, “Wala po kaming any project together,” while Onemig stressed, “We’re just friends. Real friends.”
Their reconnection dates back to Onemig’s guesting on Aiko’s vlog in December 2025, where he revealed waiting for her in Subic, only to be stood up. “I was waiting for three hours… so, I guess basted ako,” he said, which Aiko confirmed, laughing, “Ako yung hindi sumipot.”
Explaining why they are reconnecting now, Aiko said, “Sinipot ko na kasi siya. Nag-usap kaming mabuti,” adding that she wasn’t ready before. Asked why they aren’t official yet, she teased, “Bakit nga ba? Soon. Who knows?”
