Anne Curtis is mourning the death of her father, James E. Curtis-Smith, announcing his “unexpected yet peaceful” passing on Wednesday.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected yet peaceful passing of our father, James E. Curtis-Smith,” the actress wrote in a social media post alongside photos of him.
“A true patriarch in every sense, he shaped us with strength, resilience, and a wit that will forever echo in our family. He was deeply loved, endlessly admired, and will live on in our hearts always. We will miss him dearly,” the Curtis-Smith family added.

In 2023, Anne shared a video celebrating the 80th birthday celebration of their dad, whom they fondly call “gentle giant,” in La Union.
