“A Werewolf Boy” and “Seducing Drake Palma” star Angela Muji talks about her relationship with on-screen partner, Rabin Angeles.
“With Rabin, he’s kind of like a baby boy. Kailangan lagi mo siyang lalambingin para happy-happy kayo. Kung paano kami on-screen, ganun din kami off-screen. Ganun din kami ka-clingy sa isa’t isa. Very open naman kami sa isa’t isa. Actually, too open. A Alam mo ‘yung wala na kaming hiya sa isa’t isa. We just say what we think of,” she revealed during her #OnTheRise interview with The Philippine STAR.
“Parang tropa na sweet. May ganun? Tropa premium. I can already tell him my secrets, my life, ganyan. Natatrust ko na siya with only things I would say to my bestie,” she added.
Muji explained that she and Angeles are regularly communicating their feelings, and they are not closing their doors to something serious in the future.
“Parang dumating naman na kami sa usapan na, ayan na, ‘work lang tayo muna ha.’ Parang napag-usapan na rin naman namin yung ‘feelings namin sa isa’t isa na let’s set it aside muna. Parang mag-focus talaga tayo,” she noted.
Muji and Angeles were both part of the adaptation of the Wattpad series “Ang Mutya ng Section E” but they were not closely working together. That’s why they were shocked when they were partnered for another series, “Seducing Drake Palma.”
“This is super unexpected. Kasi sa Mutya, me and Robin barely have any scenes. tapos kung may scene man kami, hindi kami naguusap,” she said.
When the Viva bosses broke the news, Muji was over the moon on her first lead project.
“Sabi ko, what? Napasigaw ako, everyone was silent. Nahiya ako. Sabi ko, ay sorry po. Seryoso po, Boss Vic? Totoo po ba? The next day, we went to the office for look test, and I was just super happy. First time ko rin mag-work with Rabin closely. So, nag-workshops din kami together. Nung una, medyo awkward talaga kasi hindi nga kami close at anything,” Muji recalled.
Adding, “I learned a lot from Rabin then. Ayun, it was fun working with him. Makulit siya, ganyan. Mas marami rin ako natutunan sa kanya in terms of acting. Tinutulungan niya rin ako sa blockings. And what I really like about him is, pinipeptalk niya ako na, ‘wag ka magbasa ng hate comments. Kasi at the end of the day, sino ba magbe-benefit? Sila lang din. Ikaw maapekto ha.’”
After the success of the Wattpad adaptation, the two will star their first lead movie on the Filipino adaptation of the 2012 South Korean fantasy romance film “A Werewolf Boy.”
Muji has nothing but appreciation for their fans that keep supporting them on their journey.
“I’m super grateful na people have come to accept us as a love team as well. Ang dami na rin nagsusupport kaya kinikilig ako pag nakikita kong maraming gumagawa ng edit sa amin or maraming pupunta sa mall shows to show their support,” she happily said.
