The beloved cast of hit K-drama “Reply 1988” has reunited for a 10th anniversary special, which will soon be available to Pinoy viewers via streaming platform Viu Philippines.
On Monday, Viu Philippines announced that it will stream the three-episode Reply 1988 10th anniversary special starting this Saturday, Dec. 20.
“A decade of memories, laughter, and friendship. The cast of Reply 1988 reunites for their 10th anniversary, returning to where it all began. Watch them make countless new memories this December 20 on Viu,” the platform said in a Facebook post.
The special brings together the show’s lead stars Hyeri, Park Bo Gum, Go Kyung Pyo, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Lee Dong Hwi, fondly known as the “Ssangmun-dong” squad, reuniting a decade after the series first aired.
They will also be joined by their on-screen family members Sung Dong Il, Ra Mi Ran, Kim Sung Kyun, Choi Moo Sung, Yoo Jae Myung, Ahn Jae Hong, Ryu Hye Young, and Kim Seol. Kim, who portrayed the beloved Jin-joo, recently moved fans after appearing all grown up in reunion footage shared online.
In the three-episode special, the cast embarks on a two-day, one-night trip to commemorate the milestone.
Originally airing from November 2015 to January 2016, Reply 1988 remains one of South Korea’s most iconic slice-of-life family dramas, celebrated for its nostalgic storytelling, close-knit neighborhood friendships, and memorable romance arcs.
