Rising boxer Eman Bacosa addressed criticisms about his recent interactions with celebrities, especially with his celebrity crush Jillian Ward.
The comments stemmed from circulating videos of his first meeting with Ward at the premiere night of her horror film, “KMJS Gabi ng Lagim The Movie,” where Bacosa surprised the young actress with a bouquet of flowers and met other Kapuso figures, including Dingdong Dantes and Barbie Forteza.
In several clips, Eman can be seen embracing Jillian and having his arm around her shoulders while posing for photos.
The moment quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with some netizens calling the athlete’s actions overly affectionate, describing them as “touchy” and “feeling close”, while others defended him, noting that he has openly displayed similar gestures with his father, Manny Pacquiao, and other personalities he has interacted with.
In a recent interview with Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS), Bacosa defended himself from the critics, saying, “Sa mga gumagawa ng negative issue, bago ka manghusga ng isang tao, alamin mo muna kung ano ’yung totoo,” he said.
Eman recently entered the world of entertainment in November after officially signing with Sparkle, GMA Network’s talent arm.
