#BagetsTheMusical Director Maribel Legarda stressed the importance of welcoming a new breed of young theater actors on stage during a press conference on Friday.
“Of course it’s very challenging na lahat sila bata in the theater… Para sa amin [PETA] importante magturo at educate… Excited kami na may bagong generation na mga young artists na pumapasok sa teatro,” she noted.
Adding, “We’re very happy. As a matter of fact I think dapat may new wave.. Ang teatro ay pagbabalanse ng tao. Hindi pwedeng puro matanda. It’s like any other community. It is strongest kapag may halo-halo… There’s age diversity, experience.”
“Ang Mutya ng Section E” actors Andres Muhlach, Sam Shoaf, ALAMAT’s Tomas Rodriguez, GAT member Ethan David, and Sparkle GMA artist Jeff Moses recently revealed that this is their first official theater project.
The musical, mostly composed of newbie theater actors, will perform at the Newport Performing Arts Theater from January 23 to March 2026.
