American artist D4vd is reportedly being investigated as one of the suspects in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas-Hernandez, whose body was discovered inside his impounded vehicle in September.
According to ABC News, the “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide” singer is now considered among the individuals who may have been involved in the teenager’s death. Investigators believe multiple people could be connected to the case and said they are already in contact with several individuals of interest.
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is reportedly not cooperating with authorities, contrary to claims made by his public relations representative.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has yet to determine Celeste’s cause and manner of death, with officials saying the condition of her remains were “so badly decomposed, it’s taking some time”.
Earlier reports stated that her body was found dismembered which investigators believe may have involved more than one person.
Police also said Celeste may have been dead for several weeks before her remains, sealed inside a bag, were found in D4vd’s impounded Tesla at a Hollywood tow yard.
Authorities expect the Medical Examiner’s findings soon, noting that the results will be critical in making arrests and determining potential charges.
Celeste, a resident of Lake Elsinore in Riverside County, was reported missing in April 2024 after running away from home. She last contacted her family in late May and had not been heard from since.
No arrests have been made as the investigation remains ongoing.
