2PM’s Taecyeon shares plans to wed non-showbiz GF in 2026

South Korean singer-actor Ok Taecyeon has confirmed that he is set to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend in the spring of 2026.

Taecyeon’s agency, 51K, officially announced the news on Saturday, Nov. 1, following online buzz after photos of the K-pop star’s proposal in Paris circulated online.

“Actor Ok Taecyeon has promised to spend the rest of his life with the partner whom he has been dating for a long time,” 51K stated.

According to the agency, the wedding will be held privately in Seoul next spring, with only close friends, family, and relatives in attendance.

“As [Taecyeon’s] spouse-to-be is not a celebrity, we ask for your generous understanding that no further details about the ceremony will be disclosed,” the agency added, requesting fans to respect the couple’s privacy.

51K also assured fans that the actor will continue his entertainment career even after marriage.

“Even after his marriage, actor Ok Taecyeon plans to greet you with good projects and a wide variety of activities. We ask that you continue to give actor Ok Taecyeon your unwavering love and support,” the agency concluded.

Following the announcement, Taecyeon personally reached out to fans through a handwritten letter, confirming his plans to marry his longtime partner.

“I wanted to share my news first with my fans, who have always cared for and supported me, before anyone else, which is why I picked up my pen [to write this letter],” his message began, as translated by Soompi.

Reflecting on his nearly two-decade career, Taecyeon recalled his journey since debuting with 2PM at 19.

“It’s already been 19 years since I debuted as a member of 2PM. Starting with the program ‘Superstar Survival’ at the age of 19 up until now, I was able to come this far because you were always with me every step of the way,” he wrote, “I felt it was my duty to share this news first with all of you, who have always cherished and supported me.”

The actor went on to express his love and commitment to his fiancée, “I have promised to spend the rest of my life with one person who has understood and trusted me for a long time. We plan to walk the path of life together while becoming pillars of support for one another in the future.”

He ended his message by thanking his supporters and promising to continue his work as both an idol and an actor.

“Once again, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me with an unchanging heart and made it possible for me to become the person I am today. I will continue to do my utmost to repay your love and trust in the future as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon.”

“Please take care of your health in this weather, which has suddenly turned cold, and thank you sincerely for reading this long letter,” he concluded.

Taecyeon went public with his relationship in June 2020 after his agency confirmed reports of the couple being spotted on a date.
