A Filipino production house was selected as the official videographer for the wedding of former EXO member Huang Zitao (Z.Tao) and singer-actress Xu Yiyang in Beijing, China.
Huang Zitao, now known internationally as Z.Tao, is a former member of the K-pop powerhouse EXO and its Chinese sub-unit EXO-M where he used the stage name Tao.
It was the homegrown Mayad Studios that captured the star-studded ceremony, which became a major buzz across Asia as fans and netizens celebrated the celebrity couple’s union. The artistry of the Filipino team responsible for filming the grand event was likewise praised.
In a Facebook post, Mayad Studios shared photos and behind-the-scenes moments from the event, describing it as a celebration that will “always hold a special place in their hearts.”
The team added that despite the high-pressure environment and complex setup — with the ceremony livestreamed worldwide — they were able to capture the couple’s wedding beautifully, calling it one of their most memorable projects to date.
“We’re deeply honored to have been chosen by Tao and his team to document their wedding. Despite all the tight security and challenges (shooting with 100 more cameras), we gave it our all — and we’re grateful we made it to showtime! It was truly one for the books,” the studio wrote.
Founded by a group of Ilonggo creatives, Mayad Studios began as a small videography team in Iloilo, capturing local love stories and weddings with heartfelt storytelling and cinematic visuals. Over the years, the team’s passion and artistry have made them one of the most sought-after production houses for weddings and major events across the Philippines and abroad.
Mayad Studios previously covered the weddings of notable Filipino figures, including Kapuso couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, OPM band Ben&Ben vocalist Paolo Benjamin Guico, and Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz.
