Long before the annnoucement of their official participation in Coachella 2026, P-pop powerhouse BINI has been vocal about their wish to perform in the iconic music festival in the United States.
The eight-member group first spoke about their dream of performing in the annual music and arts festival during a Q and A vlog on their YouTube channel where they were asked about their goals as a group uploaded in October 2024.
“Well, our goals as a group is [to] be [a] household name in the Philippines. When you ask your neighbor, ‘do you know BINI?’ [They will say,] ‘Oh, yeah, I love BINI.’ That’s our goal when you ask your driver, they know BINI. That’s our goal,” Sheena said in the vlog.
“And one thing… Oh, also, Coachella! If you’re gonna dream, dream big as you can so Coachella,” added Sheena.
Mikha and Stacey repeated the statement in an interview this year, following their successful “Grand BINIverse: The Repeat” concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan in February this year.
“Hopefully makapag-perform kami sa Coachella,” Stacey said.
“We really want to perform in Coachella syempre, very big milestone siya. Alam mo ‘yung nandun ka tapos ‘yung parang mamapabilbib sa amin na live talaga kami kumanta,” Mikha added.
On September 16, Coachella announced the P-pop girl sensation as part of the official lineup of artists who will perform on one of the world’s most prestigious music stages.
The star-studded lineup includes Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G as headliners. Global girl group KASTEYE, which includes Filipino member Sophia Laforteza, as well as K-pop acts BIG BANG, SHINEE’s Taemin, among others, will also be there.
Known for their hit songs “Pantropiko,” “Salamin Salamin” and “Cherry On Top,” among others, BINI’s participation at Coachella on April 10 and 17 makes them first Filipino girl group to achieve the milestone.
The 2026 edition of Coachella will be held on April 10–12 and 17–19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
