For many people, a sudden health crisis can feel like the end of everything they’ve worked hard for.

But for It’s Showtime “Miss Q and A” Season 1 winner Juliana Parizcova Segovia, it became the ultimate test of strength, faith and love for family.

In an interview, the comedian, whose real name is Tyrone James Ortega, opened up about how life turned upside down after suffering a stroke.

“Yung recovery po, first month, naka-wheelchair ako, and then the next two to three months, nagtutungkod na lang ako. Kasi kahit nung first week pa lang akong na-stroke, pinilit kong mag-therapy agad,” Juliana was quoted in an exclusive report by Cabinet Files of PEP.ph.

The family breadwinner, however, decided to fight harder, taking the therapy sessions more seriously and regularly.

Fortunately, the perseverance paid off. After six months, nag-back to work ako,” Juliana said.

The recovery journey is far from over though, as Juliana was told that the therapy will likely be a lifelong routine.

“Though hanggang ngayon, nagte-therapy pa rin ako. I think forever na yung therapy ko dahil according sa doktor, yung katawan ko, hindi na siya babalik one hundred percent sa dati.”
