TV host and actress Kris Aquino once again opened up about her health struggles as she continues her treatment journey for multiple autoimmune diseases.
In her latest Instagram post, Kris shared that she recently received her second dose of Rituximab, a strong immunosuppressant. While she was prepared for the procedure and the strict medical protocols involved, her doctor, Dr. Ging, raised concerns after noticing alarming results in her blood panel.
“I have to give a big shoutout to @ging.md because she saw something in my blood panel results that she found alarming. She convinced me to have an ultrasound (it’s not this one) done yesterday; with all my hospitalizations, I can already tell na dapat na kong kabahan pag umakyat na yung senior technician,” she narrated.
This prompted Aquino to undergo further tests and an ultrasound, which revealed more complications.
“Three different specialists explained to me how important it was not to delay because I would be endangering my life further,” Aquino wrote, acknowledging the heavy toll of managing several life-threatening conditions.
She also revealed that her son, Bimby, has been struggling to sleep since her confinement, while her eldest, Josh, visited her to give comfort. Despite the emotional and physical challenges, Aquino expressed gratitude to her team of doctors who carefully assessed the safest options for her, considering her allergies and fragile immune system.
Rather than take uncertain medication, Aquino decided to put her full trust in Filipino doctors and undergo the necessary procedures. She emphasized how critical their judgment is, given her ongoing use of multiple immunosuppressants, antihistamines, and supplements.
In her heartfelt post, Aquino asked for continued prayers not only for herself but also for her medical team and caregivers. “Wag sana kayo sumuko sa pagdasal dahil kumukuha ako ng lakas galing sa kabutihang loob ninyo,” she wrote.
Despite her ongoing health battles, the “Queen of All Media” continues to draw strength from her family, her faith, and the unwavering support of fans who have been sending prayers for her recovery.
