Yeonjun of TOMORROW X TOGETHER will release his first solo album this November, offering fans a closer look into his style and artistry.
South Korean media company The Fact quoted insiders saying most of the recording is already complete, and Yeonjun is currently overseas shooting the music video for the lead single.
From shaping the concept to overseeing the production, he has been hands-on every step of the way in making this album.
This marks Yeonjun’s first multiple track solo album after six years and five months since his debut with TXT in March 2019. His first solo track, “GGUM,” released in September last year, has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. Yeonjun was deeply involved in its creation, from the concept and lyrics to the choreography. Now, his upcoming album promises to be an even bigger, broader showcase of his music.
Renowned as one of K-pop’s all-rounders, Yeonjun is known for his vocals, rap, dance, songwriting and choreography. He has actively contributed to TXT’s discography, participating in the production of multiple songs like “Lonely Boy,” “Happy Fools,” “Farewell, Neverland” and “Good Boy Gone Bad.”
Most recently, he co-wrote the solo track Ghost Girl from TXT’s latest album The Star Chapter: TOGETHER. With over 30 songs registered under the Korea Music Copyright Association, Yeonjun’s creative influence extends beyond music production, he also helped choreograph TXT’s “Beautiful Stranger” and his own solo track “GGUM.”
The solo debut follows a milestone moment for TXT, who recently announced their contract renewal with Big Hit Music during the opening of their ACT: TOMORROW World Tour in Seoul, promising to stay together for years to come.
TXT is currently in the middle of their world tour, with the U.S. leg kicking off on September 9 in San Jose, California. Yeonjun will complete tour commitments before shifting focus to his solo promotions later this year.
