Grammy-winning pop superstar Taylor Swift and American football star Travis Kelce are officially engaged, marking the culmination of a milestone-filled month that saw the singer break another world record.
Earlier this month, Swift made her debut on the ‘New Heights’ podcast hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce. The episode, released on August 13, was confirmed by Guinness World Records as having set a new milestone for the “most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube,” garnering 1.3 million views.
During the broadcast, Swift not only announced her forthcoming 12th studio album “The Life of a Showgirl”, but also spoke candidly about her relationship with Kelce—even hinting that the pair were already living together.
Days later, Kelce proposed with a custom-designed ring by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. The centerpiece is an “Old mine brilliant cut” diamond, which Swift proudly displayed in a series of engagement photos shared on Instagram.
One image shows Kelce on bended knee, Swift’s hand tenderly on his face, while other capture the couple embracing under a pink-and-white floral trellis.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married”, Swift wrote in the caption, which has gathered more than 23 million likes
Taylor Swift wore a Ralph Lauren halter-neck dress paired with a diamond-encrusted Carter watch for the shoot. Kelce, in a classic suit, is seen gazing into her eyes as the couple marked their next chapter.
With the announcement, social media erupted with congratulatory messages from the fans and fellow celebrities, cementing Swift and Kelce’s engagement as one of the most talked about of the year.
