In the latest episode of Toni Gonzaga’s online series “Toni Talks,” 22-year-old influencer Bea Borres opened up about how she almost had her baby aborted in the US before receiving what could be described as divine “signs” to push through with the unplanned pregnancy.

What began as a private moment quickly turned into a public spectacle when news of her pregnancy was leaked without her consent.

Bea Borres reveals she’s pregnant

“Dapat nga hindi ko pa ire-reveal this month. Biglang naglabas pa ng isa…I was going through hemorrhage and threatened miscarriage nung time na iyon,” Bea explained the reason why she kept her pregnancy private at first.

“Bakit naman? Parang ang unfair unfair na kinuha ‘yun sa akin kasi hindi ko naman po planong itago.”

Previously, Bea revealed that she discovered her pregnancy during a casual get together for a collaboration with content creator Toni Fowler.

At first, she tried to process the situation. “Nakatunganga lang ako. Honestly, ine-enjoy ko pa pagkabata ko… nagpa-party pa ako. Ang ganda-ganda ko pa, kakapa-BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) ko lang.”

She admitted she was in a one-month-old relationship at the time, and both she and her then-partner were caught off guard. “We both didn’t know what to say. We weren’t ready,” she said.

Though she wasn’t entirely alone as she had her friends and family, Bea confessed she still felt an overwhelming loneliness. Her relationship with her baby’s father was already on shaky ground, and eventually ended before she publicly announced her pregnancy.

“I felt so lonely talaga,” she said, expressing how she needed support from the father of her baby. “I expected too much from him. Na alam mo ‘yun na mag-step up siya agad-agad, eh siya parang pina-process niya palang.”

“I really respect his privacy. Wala talaga akong balak i-reveal kung sino siya. Pero kasi I really felt lonely talaga even though we were together. I just couldn’t feel his presence,” she said.

Her family, however, never wavered in their support. “Love na love ako ng family ko,” she said. “Kampante din ako na…kakayanin ko din ’to.”

In a heartbreaking admission, Bea revealed she came close to ending her pregnancy when she was on a trip abroad.

“Actually umabot po talaga sa point na nandoon na talaga ako sa clinic [to take the baby out].”

But then, something unexpected happened: “May pumasok ‘tas sinabi niya nalang na, ‘You can’t push through with this.'” A nurse from the clinic told her not to abort the baby and she took it as a sign.

That was only the first of three signs she said made her change her mind. On the plane to New York, she sat next to a stranger who told her, “Babies are a blessing from God.” Later, while resting at an outlet store, a woman from a Christian group approached her offering support and guidance from the Lord.

Bea recalled her thoughts during those moments that led her to the decision to keep the baby. “Wala ako dapat katakutan and I should continue with it.”

Even after the signs, Bea admitted she wasn’t immediately at peace. The acceptance finally came through when she told her family about the pregnancy. And also, a text that came from Andrea Brillantes saying, “Bea, sana girl ’yung baby mo. Tapos ang pangalan niya Hope.”

“Just ‘cause of that text and just ‘cause of that word, parang na-feel ko na ay, may name na siya so iki-keep ko na ’to. Nagkaroon talaga ako ng hope na hindi pa talaga mag-e-end ’yung life ko,” Bea said that she would name her baby “Hope” regardless of its gender.

“Kasi I was at my rock bottom. Pero I feel like and I know… punong-puno na po ako ng hope ngayon. The hope na everything will be okay. Kahit na wala akong partner at wala po akong kasama, I know that everything will be okay po,” Bea said.

Bea did her first ultrasound alone, but the sight of her baby’s tiny movements and heartbeat overwhelmed her. “Grabe meron nang… there’s a life growing inside me.” Despite having PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and losing her parents at a young age, she felt that her baby was really meant for her.

Her daughter’s full name, she revealed, is Victoria Hope, a name that stands for victory and the hope that carried her through.

“Finally… may na-reveal ako na galing sa akin,” she said, sharing how details such as her pregnancy, the baby’s father, and the gender had been made public before she could announce them herself.

Now, as she prepares to become a mother, Bea is focused on positivity, health and surrounding herself with people she trusts. “I’ve been looking for love in the wrong places, and finally, mabubuhos ko na siya sa right person, my baby.”

Looking back, she learned that love and relationships should not be rushed, “Hindi dapat minamadali. Pinakamabigat na lesson pero pinaka-greatest blessing ko din.”

And as she looks forward to meeting Victoria Hope, Bea sees not just the birth of a child, but also a new version of herself.

“Ever since natanggap ko na siya, I’ve been waking up with so much purpose… I always want to wake up  to be the best version of myself. For her.”
