TVING’s action-packed school drama “Study Group” is officially returning for Season 2, with Hwang Min-hyun confirmed to reprise his role as Yoon Ga-min.
Based on the popular Naver webtoon, the series follows a model student who relies on his fists rather than his books to survive at Korea’s worst high school, while aiming to get into university. With its mix of exciting action and emotional storylines, Study Group became a successful hit upon its January 2025 premiere.
The drama ranked No. 1 on TVING for new paid subscribers for five consecutive weeks and hit the Top 5 in 143 countries on global streaming platforms. It also topped charts in several Southeast Asian regions, including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
The filming for Season 2 will begin after Hwang Min-hyun’s military discharge this December 20th. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Study Group-themed events, pop-up stores, and collaborations leading up to the release.
With increasing success globally and a never-ending webtoon narrative, Study Group is rapidly becoming one of Korea’s hottest and most promising action drama franchises.
