Global superstar Lisa has released a short-film for “Dream,” a standout track from her debut full-length solo album “Alter Ego.”
The emotionally charged visual, starring Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi, offers fans a glimpse into the more vulnerable and dramatic side of the BLACKPINK member.
The video, teased over several days through love and loss. LISA’s character revisits bittersweet memories with a former partner, moving through scenes of intense romance to moments of deep heartbreak. The project highlights her range as a performer, showcasing acting skills rarely seen in her music videos.
The release follows a major career milestone for LISA, her third MTV Video Music Awards nomination for Best K-pop, this time for “Born Again,” her powerhouse collaboration with Doja Cat and RAYE.
She previously won in the same category with “Rockstar” in 2024 and became the solo act to win it in 2022, setting a new record as the only artist to take home the award multiple times.
“Alter Ego,” released earlier this year, debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart and No. 7 on the Billboard 200, earning praise from fans and critics alike. Rolling Stone lauded her versatility, noting it extends beyond music into her budding acting career, a reference to her role as “Mook” and nominated in the Emmy award in third season of “The White Lotus.”
LISA’s momentum has been unstoppable in 2025. In April, she made her solo Coachella debut with a high-energy Sahara Stage performance that Billboard described as “tight, creative, cool and altogether electric.” She is currently touring internationally in the BLACKPINK sold-out “Deadline” world tour.
Beyond music, LISA has cemented her status as a global fashion and cultural icon, serving as House Ambassador for Louis Vuitton and face of Bulgari. With more than 106 million Instagram followers, she also holds three Guinness World Records for social media influencer and is the first solo K-pop artist to win at both the MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards) and MTV EMAs (Europe Music Awards).
Her latest collaborator, Kentaro Sakaguchi, is a celebrated Japanese actor known for TV dramas like ‘Signal: Long-Term Unsolved Case Investigation Team’ and films including ‘The Last 10 Years and Hell Dogs.’
He will be the next star in ‘The Final Piece,’ set for release in Japan on October 31. Fans can watch the “Dream” short film now on LISA’s official channels.
