Actress Bela Padilla has ended her nearly five-year relationship with Swiss-Italian longtime boyfriend Norman Bay.
Padilla made the revelation during during a press conference for her upcoming sequel movie “100 Awit Para Kay Stella” last Wednesday, August 6.
When asked about being single, Bela confirmed with a “Yes, I am,” before clarifying that their relationship did not end on bad terms and was a mutual decision, “It’s not sad. Okay naman kami.”
The actress also admitted that their long-distance relationship was one of the “biggest factors” of their split, especially after she returned to the Philippines to resume acting full time.
“Definitely, one of the biggest factors was me moving back here. Hindi naman din kasi kami magkasama, e, nasa London ako, nasa Switzerland siya. So, parang nahirapan na rin ako. Long distance na shorter, but it was still long distance,” explained Bela.
Bela shared that Norman previously visited her while she was shooting “100 Awit Para Kay Stella” even after their split, emphasizing their amicable breakup.
“Although, dumadalaw pa siya sa shooting. Itong 100 Awit Para Kay Stella, nandito pa siya sa Pilipinas noon. Napasyalan na niya ang buong Pampanga. Hindi na kami noon.
It was back in 2017 when the ex-couple met in Switzerland where Norman was based and while Bela was filming “Meet Me In St. Gallen.” They made their relationship public in 2020.
When asked about dating again, the 34-year-old actress said, “Siguro after I finished the promo for Stella.”
“Why not? I love falling in love. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with putting yourself out there. Kaso, hindi na ako marunong mag-date ngayong 2025. Baka may kilala kayo,” she added.
