Tech company Astronomer has suspended its CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot following the launch of a formal investigation into their relationship.
US media outlets reported that the two executives were placed on leave after being caught on video showing public displays of affection at a Coldplay concert which sparked alleged extramarital affair speculations.
In a statement, Astronomer confirmed Byron’s leave, adding that co-founder Pete DeJoy has taken over as interim CEO.

“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,” stated the tech firm.
“The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly,” it added.

Astronomer also falsified online speculations that mistakenly identified Alyssa Stoddard, a colleague of Cabot’s, as being present in the viral video.
Neither Byron nor Cabot has yet to issue a public statement.
Meanwhile, Byron’s wife apprently removed her married name from her Facebook profile and deactivated her account.
