Filipina-Mexican-American singer-songwriter Jessica Sanchez is once again making headlines after delivering a powerful comeback performance on America’s Got Talent two decades after first stepping onto the show’s stage as a child.

During her audition on the talent show’s 20th season, Sanchez initially amazed judges as she revealed that she previously joined the competition at the age of 10, back in its very first season.

Now at 29, Jessica made her return to the show, successfully captivating judges and audience members with her rendition of Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things,”

The performance earned her a standing ovation and, ultimately, the Golden Buzzer from judge Sofia Vergara, instantly advancing her to the live shows.

Her official performance video, now among the top 10 trending videos on YouTube globally, was captioned: “After walking away from music, Jessica Sanchez rediscovered her voice, her confidence, and her purpose. With a baby on the way and fire in her soul, she delivers a breathtaking performance that earns one of the most emotional Golden Buzzer moments of the season.”

Jessica’s return to the spotlight also came with a personal revelation as she proudly shared for the first time that she is currently pregnant with her first child.

Her return to the AGT stage had fans around the world, especially in the Philippines, celebrating her success in what many are calling a full-circle moment.

In an exclusive interview with The Philippine STAR, Jessica expressed heartfelt gratitude to her Filipino supporters, dedicating her Golden Buzzer moment to the community that has stood by her through the years.

“To my fellow Filipinos around the world — thank you for your love, your pride, and your unwavering support,” she said.

“You’ve lifted me up since the very beginning, and I carry your strength with me every time I step on that stage. Mahal ko kayong lahat. This Golden Buzzer moment isn’t just mine — it’s ours. Let’s keep showing the world what we’re made of!”

Jessica first rose to international fame as the runner-up of American Idol Season 11 in 2012, where she captivated audiences with her vocal talent at just 16 years old.
