The long wait is over, ARMYs! BTS is officially back!

K-pop powerhouse BTS delighted fans on Tuesday with a surprise announcement, revealing that their new album will be released in Spring 2026, unveiling plans for a new world tour.

In a Weverse live last July 1, BTS leader Kim Namjoon, better known as RM, confirmed that they are going to work for their album starting this month.

“Starting in July… we’re planning to make something massive, so from then (this month), we’ll probably gather together and stay focused on making music,” RM said.

“Our full-group album will really be released next spring, and you won’t have to wait until July or August,” he added.

BTS’ upcoming comeback album will be their first release in four years, following their 2022 anthology album entitled “Proof.”

According to RM, they will head to United States this month in order to prepare for their upcoming album.

“We’ll be working on our album in the United States,” he continued.

“This time, we’re really going to go all the way back to our original mindset and gather together,” BTS’ youngest member Jungkook said.

“We’ll work really hard and [prepare the album] quickly so that you won’t have to wait too long,” Jimin added.

Aside from the album, RM also confirmed that BTS will embark on a world tour next year.

“Of course, we will also be going on a tour, a world tour, starting next spring,” he said.

“We’ll be going to see you here and there all over the world, so please look forward to it,” he continued.

The group’s most recent world tour took place in 2022 when they kicked off their “Permission to Dance on Stage” tour.

Meanwhile, while preparing for their comeback, RM promised that they will communicate to fans regularly through social media.

“We’ll communicate [with you] as much as possible through [Weverse] live broadcasts or social media, so if you give us just a little bit of time, we’ll properly show you everything all at once,” RM said.

BTS officially reunited last month after two years of hiatus due to the members’ mandatory military service.
