Paul Salas apologizes to fan after video of him accidentally causing her fall goes viral

-

A video of actor Paul Salas accidentally causing a fan to fall off her seat after pulling away her chair during a performance is going viral online.

The incident occurred during a local event in Palawan, where Paul was performing the song “Need You” by Ex Battalion while interacting with the audience.

At one point, a female fan approached him. Paul responded with a warm hug and posed for a photo with her. After their brief interaction, he moved on to engage with other attendees behind them.

As he continued performing, Paul unknowingly pulled a chair from the crowd—just as the same female fan was about to sit on it—causing her to fall to the floor.

Unaware of what had happened behind him, Paul carried on serenading the audience.

Photos and videos of the moment quickly circulated across social media platforms, with netizens poking fun at the unintentional mishap and trending his name on X Philippines.

Shortly after, Paul reacted by reposting the original video on Facebook, along with a lighthearted and apologetic caption.

🙏🙏❤️”, he wrote.

On Monday, he followed up with another witty post—this time sharing a photo of himself sitting on a chair, seemingly referencing the now-viral incident.

On the same day, Salas addressed the incident during an interview on “24 Oras“.

So wala talaga akong naramdaman na anything.”

The woman in the video, identified as Katrina Lopez, also spoke up and described the incident as “unexpected.” She expressed her hopes that everyone would remain “positive” after what occurred.

Katrina also thanked Paul for bringing joy to their community: “Salamat din kay Sir Paul kasi siyempre napasaya niya kami.”

Meanwhile, the actor reiterated his apology to his fan, saying, “Madam, sorry, sorry. Hindi ko napansin talaga.”

He further encouraged netizens to stop making negative comments about both of them, “Kaya mga Kapuso naku, itigil na ‘yung pamba-bash sa aming dalawa.
