Filipino actor Rodwick “Red” Sternberg, best known for his role “Kiko” in the 1990s TV series T.G.I.S. (Thanks God It’s Sabado), has passed away.
His wife, Sandy Sternberg, confirmed his death in an emotional tribute on Friday, announcing that Red “suddenly passed away” on May 27.
The loss came during what was usually a joyful time filled with family birthdays. Rodwick would have turned 51 years old on Friday, May 30.Sandy described the loss as the “most difficult time I have ever gone through my life.”
The bereaved wife also asked for privacy and prayers as their family grieves, noting that memorial details will be announced soon.
Red also starred in T.G.I.S.: The Movie (1997), a film adaptation of the series. He also appeared in several other films such as Silaw (1998), “Laging Naroon Ka,” “Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga,” “Sumigaw Ka Hanggang Gusto Mo,” and “Where ‘D’ Girls ‘R.”
