Award-winning actor John Arcilla took to social media on Monday to call for more responsible voting after witnessing firsthand the deteriorating state of a classroom used as a waiting area during the 2025 midterm elections.
In a post on X, Arcilla shared photos of visibly damaged and worn-out student desks at his designated polling precinct. The actor said he stayed inside the classroom while waiting in line to cast his vote.
“So nandito ako sa loob ng isang classroom na ginawang WAITING ROOM sa MAHABANG PILA para bumoto at ganito ang lamesa ng mga estudiyante sa loob ng classroom,” John strongly reacted on his post.
The veteran actor didn’t hold back as he questioned the state of government priorities and urged the public to reconsider their choices at the ballot box.
“Asan ang budget sa EDUKASYON? Tapos boboto tayo ng mga corrupt eh nakaharap na mismo satin ang EBIDENSIYA NG MGA MALI NATING PAGPILI? Ano na mga kababayan? AYUSIN NAMAN NATIN ANG PAGBOTO KAHIT LAST MINUTE,” he added.
His post quickly gained traction online, with many netizens echoing his sentiments about the need for better education funding and more transparency from elected officials.

“Totoo ito, same with the school where I went to vote this time ‘yun lang talagang dapat ang binoto ko, nakakapagod na ang maging ganito tayong Pilipino. We deserve better!” added another.
