Former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz recently went viral for allegedly leaving a pointed comment on a social media post featuring veteran actor and PDP Laban senatorial candidate Phillip Salvador.
The post in question showed Salvador passionately shouting “Bring him home!” in support of former President Rodrigo Duterte, who remains in The Hague, Netherlands while facing charges before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Under a Facebook post shared by a user named “Nanay Bebot” nearly two weeks ago, Diaz commented, “‘Yung anak mo padalan mo ng pera,” a remark that quickly gained attention among netizens.
Instagram users quickly took notice of the account behind the viral comment on the actor’s post, pointing out its legitimacy as it is followed by several well-known celebrities, including Anne Curtis, Pia Wurtzbach, Lucy Torres, Francine Diaz and Angelica Panganiban.
While Diaz did not name anyone directly, many netizens believe she was referring to Joshua Aquino, Salvador’s son with TV host Kris Aquino who is currently battling autoimmune diseases.
Joshua, who is a special child, has long carried the Aquino surname and is known to be under the care of his mother.
As of this writing, neither Diaz, Salvador nor Aquino responded to the viral post and comment.
