Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo set the record straight about her relationship status amid rumors romantically linking her to a politician.
The Pilipinas Got Talent host was asked about her love life during the recently held ABS-CBN Ball, where she confirmed that she is single.
“I’m very happy, and yes, still single,” Kathryn shared on the sidelines of the ABS-CBN Ball red carpet.
Following her highly publicized breakup with Daniel Padilla in 2023, Kathryn has been romantically linked to fellow actor Alden Richards and Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala.
Her mother, Min Bernardo, also previously revealed that Kathryn remains single despite having many suitors. Min said that while she’s allowing her daughter to make her own decisions, she still voices her concerns when something doesn’t feel right.
“Hinahayaan ko lang siya pero nandiyan pa rin ako sa side na bumubulong, ‘Hindi tama ‘yan, hindi okay ‘yan’—mga ganun,” she said.
“Pero at the end of the day, mahirap kasi sa isang nanay na may sinasabi ka [pero] hindi ka pinakikinggan,” she continued.
“Ngayon, ina-accept ko na lang na, ‘Sige na nga, matanda ka na, ikaw na magdesisyon by your own. Pero sana isipin mo hundred times kung sino man ‘yan, ano man ‘yan, kasi mahirap magkamali,’” she added.
