Kapuso couple Mikee Quintos and Paul Salas have officially parted ways after four years together.
The actress confirmed their breakup during her exclusive interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday, April 1.
Mikee assured that no third party was involved and suggested that Paul would be the best person to explain the reason behind their split.
“‘Yung ‘Bakit?’ I think it’s better if you hear from him. Pero honestly, before today, pinag-iisipan kong mabuti kung magsasabi na ako sa public. Mahirap ‘to for me,” she shared.
Mikee revealed that both of them began discussing ending their relationship a month ago. Despite the initial shock, they both realized it was the right decision.
“Shocking for me lahat ngayon. Shocking. A month ago na ‘yung nag-start kaming mag-usap about this decision. And ngayon, nagiging clear sa amin na ito nga ‘yung tama for us. Mutual naman na decision ‘to,” she admitted.
“Kung kami, Siya na maghahanap ng way na mangyari ‘yon. Si Lord na. So I won’t try to control things. I just know na ito ‘yung tamang desisyon now,” she added.
Despite the split, Mikee admitted she still loves Paul and that they both fought hard their relationship.
“Oo naman. I think more than expected pa ‘no? More. Wala akong regrets,” she stated.
Mikee also left a heartfelt message for Paul, thanking him for their time together.
“Paul, thank you. Four years. And alam mo naman na ‘yun, nasabi ko na ‘yung mga gusto kong sabihin. Maybe I wanna remind you lang na nasa sa ‘yo to make all these worth it,” she wrote.
