T.O.P talks about his departure from BIGBANG: ‘I felt I had no right to stay’

“I do imagine it a lot—[situations where] we give each other blessings,” wika niya.

“Honestly, I just carry a lifelong sense of guilt. I left because I felt I had no right to stay. All I feel is that I’m just deeply sorry,” saad niya.

“My 30s felt like lost time. During that period, I endured intense shame and self-contempt, spending time reflecting deeply on myself,” pagbabahagi niya.

“For the past seven years, I have lived almost isolated from society, spending most of my time at home and in my music studio. So I just kept working on music in the dark and the reason I did that was not for any other reason, but because music was the only place where I could breathe, when I was composing music and standing in front of the microphone. I think I made music to survive,” wika niya.

“So I wrote a countless number of songs, just by listening to my own dark heart and inner turmoil. I wanted to heal myself through music and I want to share that music with my fans in some way,” dagdag pa nito.

“If I were to imagine my 40s, I hope to live as a responsible and stable man, just like any ordinary young person in Korea. I plan to focus on maintaining a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and fostering positive thoughts,” pahayag niya.

“I want to live a life where, when I wake up in the morning, there are no negative articles about me on the news portals,” dagdag pa nito.
